emma ran a brush over the horses back softly as she looked out into the isle. she had a lesson on loki today. an unpredictable stallion that liked to do things his own way. she would have rode thor but he was well on his way already and loki needed some work. sighing she patted the horses back once finished with the grooming and then shoved he brush into her grooming kit before heading out of the stall to get his tack.

as she entered the tack room a large yawn slipped through her lips and a soft sigh escaped her throat. it was only ten in the morning on a saturday. a day emma usually slept in till about two in the afternoon. she groaned softly and cursed her new instructor, still not yet knowing his name. she was baffled as to why the old instructor quit. but he just up and left the barn one day not leaving anything but a note on the bulletin board. she shook her head and picked up her lesson saddle and a clean saddle pad. the strawberry harried girl moved back to loki's stall and watched him for a moment before placing the saddle on the door and slipping into the stall again. she ran her slender hand down the horses neck. "you're gonna be good for me this morning right Loki?" she said patting his neck and laughing when he shook his head.

"right that's what i thought." she moved back to her saddle grabbing her paint spattered pad off of it and then placing it on the horses neck. she glared a bit when the stallion to a small step forward. "Oh stop it spaz." she said shaking her head and laughing softly. she then watched him for a moment before placing the saddle onto his back and shifting it a bit to get it into the perfect position. once the saddle was on the girth was done up she moved on to the ear net and bridle. loki's least favorite thing. the girl looked into the stallions eyes "behave." she said her tone strong and threatening. she then reached her arms up and started to slip the ear net on. she could hear the thoroughbred snort and she shook her head giving him a small slap on the neck. "don't bite me." she hissed and quickly finished. the bridle was then quickly put on with a small nip at her shoulder.

the horse was finally done when emma put the bright green polo wraps on his legs. emma looked up at the horse before standing up herself and stretching out her back. she sighed softly. "you ready for this? cause i sure as heck am not." she said kissing his nose. she brought the horses reins over his head and led him out of the stall and toward the out door arena where this first lesson would be held. she didn't know how many students would be in this lesson but she hoped it was only a few. she knew in her last lessons with her old instructor on saturday's it was only two other people. a girl named cambree and some other girl who rode a lesson horse.

the girl got into the arena and mounted up quickly loki trying to take off in a trot as she got her foot into the stirrup. emma quickly reined him in as she swung her leg over and sigh. "loki! you're going to kill me one of these days!" she groaned and pulled him to a stop fixing her stirrups quickly. she then looked around noticing no one was there yet. "mind as well warm up." she mumbled to herself before pushing the horse into a walk spinning him around in a circle once or twice when he tried to take off into a gallop. the off the track thoroughbred was still kinda new to the arena so he liked to push his limits, trying to take of whenever he could.

cam groaned softly and rolled over hitting the alarm into snooze. she just wanted five more minutes but it turned into a half hour. cam was never very good at waking up. with a startle when her phone went off the girl sat up and looked at the time. twenty minutes to ten. she was going to be late. "Shit!" she groaned as she quickly jumped out of bed. it was her friend liz on the other line asking where she was. they were supposed to go eat before her lesson. cambree quickly talked on the phone asking her friend to tack up rose for her and she'd be there soon.

scrambling around the girl grabbed a shirt pair of skinny jeans and her riding boots before disappearing into the bathroom to get a super fast shower that would last no more than five minutes. just a quick hair wash and she'd be done. after hopping out of the shower the girl dressed quickly and put her black locks up into a ponytail. running downstairs she slipped on her black paddock boots and called out to her family that she was leaving before taking off toward the barn. she didn't have her licence yet so the girl had to run the mile and a half. panting as she got to the barn cambree had to take a moment to catch her breath. "ugh. remind me never to hit snooze again." she muttered before standing up straight and fixing her pink floyd shirt. she entered the isle with her horses and moved over to the stall which held rose her palomino arabian mare. she smiled when she saw liz finishing the horses wraps and thanked her before taking the reins and pulling them over rose's head.

as she walked out of the stall the girl felt like she was missing something. she then realized that she was missing her helmet and cursed under her breath looking at liz. the other girl chuckled and rolled her eyes before going to get her helmet and handing it over to her friend. "thanks lizzie you're the best." cam grinned and moved out of the barn with rose following her. she could see that she wasn't too late there was only one other person in the arena and it was someone who she had been taking lessons with since she was six. "entering!" she called out as she moved into the arena. the girl smiled softly at emma before heading into the middle of the arena. she pulled down her stirrups as she led rose over to the mounting block. her fingers running down the horses neck before climbing up the two steps.

mounting up was easy and once on top of the little mare cambree nudged her to move toward the fence for warm up glancing over at the barn to see if anyone else was riding today with the two girls in this lesson. she then looked forward again and asked rose for a trot moving into the post as she pranced around the arena cambree felt a small knot form in her stomach as she waited for the new instructor.

noel woke up extra early that morning. he was to teach his first lesson in this new city and he was a bit nervous about it. he wasn't sure what the difference in riding styles there were between ireland and kentucky where he grew up and trained. he shrugged off all dout and moved into the bathroom. he male scrubbed himself from head to toe clean before jumping out and throwing on a red and blue stripped shirt as well as a pair of jeans. her ran his hand over the shirt and dried his hair before putting a small amount of gel in it. the male was nothing but particular about the way he looked when he left the house even if it was to go down to the barn for a few hours.

after leaving the bathroom noel moved down the hallway to where his son lay sleeping. the male wanted to check on him quickly to make sure he was okay since he was just getting over a bad bout of the flu. he peeked into the room and watched keegan for a moment. watched his tiny chest rise and fall with every breath before shutting the door and heading downstairs for a small breakfast. toast. a quick and simple meal. a small yawn escaped his lips as he popped the toast into the toaster and waited. he was slightly tired for the previous night but he could easily get over it and put on a professional front.

after eating breakfast noel slipped on his boots and stepped out of the house. he knew he should be wearing his riding gear but it had some how gotten lost in the mountains of boxes they still had to unpack so he just threw on what he had. the male moved through the path and quickly arrived at the barn. there were very little people at the barn at this time so he knew he would be in peace for a little while. he wanted to bond with his horses a bit and to lunge aspen before the lesson.

that is just what he did. after the horse was lunged noel led him back into the barn where he quickly tacked him up in a black leather saddle, a white saddle pad a pair of brow splint boots and his black ear net. kissing the horses nose he could hear a few students in the arena and grinned a bit before leading his stallion out of the barn and toward the arena. he would watch for a bit first and then join in. so the male tied aspen to the fence and stroked his neck as he watched the two girls. one he recognized as the girlfriend of his brother the other he was not so sure of.

Running his hand through his hair Axel hurried out of the house ten minutes late, his son was in a horrid mood today, screaming, demending, and he was actually glad for the excuse to get out of the house, grateful Jack had offered to watch him so Axel could go riding. Though Jack knew if he had to watch Ethan, Axel would go riding, since it was him that had pretty much forced Axel back onto a horse, brought him the one he was riding now, and had been an all around pestering person. He bit his lip as he drove to the stables, his fingers drumming on the wheel of the steering wheel as he turned up the lane that lead to the stables, driving slow encase a horse, or god forbid a kid would run out of anywhere along this road, after all, there were always children around this place.

He pulled his car into a space and he climbed out of the car, grabbing his black jacket from the back of the car and he pulled it over his shoulders and sipped it up, biting his lip as he headed into the barn. This was only his second lesson since his fall, the fourth time he had ridden, and still the feeling in his stomach was still there, he hated the fact he was nervous about riding, he had been riding all his life before the accident, stopped for a year while learing to walk again, and now he was literally, getting back on the horse. Moving over to Flame's stall, he ran a hand over her face gently and smiled slightly, feeling the hose push her head into his hand, looking for the treat he usally brough her and he shook his head, grabbing a brush and slipping into the the stall. "Sorry Flamey . . it slipped my mind this morning" He said as he made to run the brush over her flaming chestnut coat, hence her name.

He brushed her quickly, knowing he would probably already be late and he bit his lip as he hurried to grab the horses tack and he hurried it back to the stall, he was only using basic stuff today, he didnt plan on jumping too high today, actually he didnt plan on jumping at all, after all, jumping is what had caused him to be laid up in the first place. He put the bridle on his horse, easing the bit into her mouth gently then pulling her forelock through the straps gently and he adjusted it to make sue it was comfortable for her. He swung the sadle onto her back gently, doing up the girth and noticing he had never had to avoid getting bitten by her like he had his old horse. He gathered the reins into his hand and grabbed his helmet, leading Flame to the arena and through the half open gate, moving to the middle of the arena he put his foot into the stirrup, and swung up into the saddle, landing on Flame's back gently and he leaned forward slightly, stretching his back as he felt it pull and biting back a slight wince, his physio had said that could be normal, but still, pain was annoying.

Tex walked out of the house when the sky was still dark. Latley he had been leaving the house before the sun rose, avoiding his brother and his wife, their son, and pretty much his whole family. After the fight they had all had, well, things werent going so well. He knew it was his fault, he shouldnt have said things, done things, listened in se ed class, but he couldnt go back and change it all now. It felt like days since he'd seen his brothers, and he counted back in his head, it had been days, he'd ignored calls from them, kept his door locked, and pretty much kept to himself when he was in the house, thinking it was what they all wanted. After all, they were all mad at him, and when he was in the room there was yelling, so he figured it was better to keep out of everyone's way for now.

He was in Rocky's stall, brushing him when he heard the first person arrive for their lesson, he couldnt place the voice, but he heard the voice of the stable owner and he shrank further back into the stall and moved to the other side of Rocky, oh yeah, he was hiding from his girlfriends family too, his father and brothers wanted to pummel him, her mother seemed to hate him right now, so he reckoned again, better to stay out of their way right now, the only one he had been seeing was his girlfriend Em. He grinned slightly as he kept brushing the horses grey coat, running the brush the legnth of his smooth neck and bit his lip. He shook his head slightly and patted his horses neck. "I dont think you'll shine anymore" He said as he made to tack him up quickly, switly the horse had his saddle and bridle on and Tex made to grab his hat and led Rocky to the arena, seeing the other people that had arrived, and he smiled wide when he saw his girlfriend, Em, riding in the arena.

His smile turned to a slight frown though as he saw his older brother in the ring, ooooh great, this would be fun. He moved to the arena and he bit his lip, seeing his brother had rattled him slightly, bitiing his lip he grabbed rockets reins and made to swing into the saddle, landing a bit hard and causing the hose to skitter to the side with an angry snort. Tex reined him in and bit his lip, having managed to keep his seat ne shifted in the saddle and tried to calm the horse. "Sorry rock . . " He said as he patted the thoroughbreds neck and bit his lip. He turned his horse toward the outside of the arena, biting his lip at how tense and norsevous rocket felt now. Ever since he had thrown off Kai, Tex's older brother, he was difftrent, more on edge, like someone was going to hurt him. He ran his hand down the horses neck. "Easy . . " he murmerd softly to the horse trying to calm him and he looked up and over at em and smiled again, knowing they would be able to talk after the lesson.

emma bit in her lip lightly and glanced around the arena. a small grin played on her lips when she saw tex but just as she did loki decided to take it for advantage and he bucked before cantering off. frowning she reined the horse in and sat back in her seat getting the stallion to come to a nice walk again. the female shook her head and sighed loudly as she looked at loki. "you're going to drive me crazy lok." she whispered before looking over to see noel walk up to the fence. she smiled weakly at him and then looked over at Tex and gave him a weak smile. she knew the two of them were still on the outs. even if the babies were born and nearly a week old now and they had said they made up but nothing was the same anymore. it was like there was just something off about their relationship still.

at the thought of the twins Em's stomach twisted in knots. she wondered if they were okay, how her parents were doing with the two of them. yeah you could say she was over worrying but she couldn't help it, they were her babies. but she also knew her parents had raised four babies of their own so taking on two for a day was no big deal. she had also wanted them to get to know their grand kids since she had been over only twice since they were born. she didn't mean for i to be that way. it was just too much for her to pack two kids up and then unpack them after only a few miles.

sighing she looked at the house and then back to loki and began cantering him around the arena when everyone else did trying to keep her horse slightly away from the others so that he wouldn't nip or nudge the horses. when she did get to close to another horse she either circled or cut across the arena which she did several times. she wouldn't try and pass another horse because if she did loki would have tried to race or nip the other horse. which was something that Emma was trying to break the ex-racer from. coming back to a walk when Noel called out she looked over at him and saw the small jump he had set up. biting her lip and shifting slightly in the saddle she swallowed. this would be one of the first times she had ever jumped loki and she was a little nervous. taking a deep breath she stopped loki in the center and waited for others to go first.
