, yet another day || shadow

emma woke with a slight startle as her phone buzzed on the night stand next to the bed. she groaned softly and looked at the time. six in the morning. "mmmm" she groaned and ran a hand through her hair. she then slowly slid out of the bed her bare feet hit the cool carpeted floor. the girl shivered lightly and stood up before making her way out of the room trying her hardest not to wake Tex. he still had another half hour before he had to get ready.

yawning emma made her way down the hall toward the babies room. she had to be quiet though knowing no one would be up yet and she would hate to wake them. yawning once again the girl moved into the nursery and grinned when she saw her baby girl wide awake and sitting up in her crib. the girl then glanced over at nick and saw he was still awake. not wanting to wake him encase of a melt down she quietly moved over to sage and lifted her out of the small circular crib. "come here you." she whispered and kissed her head. "you hungry?" she asked running a hand over her head and then pressing her lips against her soft silky skin.

after feeding the two week old girl emma shifted her to her shoulder and patted her back trying to get her to burping. chuckling softly when a loud burp came out of her little body. "just like your daddy." she said cuddling the baby close and then moving out of the room and back toward hers and tex's. as she entered the room sage cooed instantly knowing that they were going to see daddy. em grinned softly and move toward the bed. she gently sat Sage down and touched her head before rubbing tex's back. "babe... come on time to wake up. . ." she whispered before leaning down and kissing a small trail of kisses across his shoulder. as she did this sage pulled herself up next to him and grabbed a handful of his hair tugging it lightly wanting daddy cuddles.

Feeling something shift in the bed next to him tex started to stir, thats just how he was, if something in the room moved when he was asleep he would quite often wake as they moved. His head rolled n the pillow slightly, mumbling a few words he rolled back over when the noise stopped and he slowly shifted back to sleep, the darkness pulling him back down and he settled in the pillows, the rug pulle dup to his head and he feel quiet again. He had no idea how long it was before he heard the noise again, he hadnt actually been dreaming, just seeing shapes and colors, nothing actually being there, it was just a blank canvas with colors and shapes flying around on it.

He started to stir again as he felt someone sit on the bed. Shifting slightly he yawned and shook his head, relaxing back as someone's hand rubbed his back. It always relaxed him, something about it settled him and could quiet often make him forget what was scaring, or upsetting him. He shook his head slightly and yawned again, feeling em press her lips to his bare shoulder a few times and he smiled sleepily, turning his head he moved to press his lips onto her skin and he smiled as his eyes opened. He looked up at her, and he smiled, he couldnt imagine a better sight to wake up too. Feeling something tug his hair he shifted his gaze, smiling and he moved to wrap his arm around his daughter and he hugged her close, pulling her against his chest gently and lookking up at em. "Do i haaave to gooo?"

emma watched and waited for him to wake up a small smile plastered across his face as she watched him. when he pressed his lips against hers she lightly kissed him back and then pulled away watching as he cuddled Sage. a small yawn escaped her lips and she grinned. "you two are so cute." she said as she slid of the bed. sage squeaked in delight when he held her close against him. she buried her head against him and stretched out her legs in happiness.the baby let out several soft coos and pushed herself up against his chest to look around before blinking and looking at him. she then reached her tiny hand out and wrapped it around his nose tugging gently. sage liked to hold onto and grip anything that she could.

when tex spoke again em frowned and looked over at him. she sighed and nodded her head. "yeah babe you have to go. . . it's the first day back after your break." she said softly and went to their closet where she pulled out a shirt for him and layed it on the bed. she then moved over to the dressed her pulled him out some pants. "you gonna take a shower before you go?" she asked as she put the pants next to the shirt and looked at him lighting biting int her lip.

tex sighed and shook his head slightly as sage grabbed his nose. he kissed her hand gently and sighed again, smiling lightly at his daughter before looking up at em, who was seemingly gathering his clothes together and he shook his head. he shifted sage slightly and he made to sit up, coughing slightly he rested on his elbow and glanced at the cloths she was laying out and he shook his head. "em i dont feel up to going to school today" . . he said as he shifted sage and made to smile at her again, he could always put a smile on his face for his kids, no matter how crappy he was feeling. he made to sit up and lean back against the head of the bed and he cuddled sage close.

he really didnt want to go to school, since he'd woken up he was feeling worse and worse by the minute, his head was starting to pound in the back of his skull and his stomach has started to think it was going to rebuke on the dinner he had eaten last night and he shook his head slightly. kissinf sage's head he made to stand up and he moved to pass her to em and he grabbed the clothes. shaking his head when she asked about the shower he sighed and moved to pull the shirt over his head. chaning his sweatpants for his jeans he ran his hand through his hair and coughed. he moved to grab his bag from the wardrobe and he looked at her. "you'll be okay on your own . . . if i go?" he said with a sigh, knowing noel or try would force him to go anyway,
